Duct sealing and balancing
Typical older ductwork leaks a fifth or more of the air the furnace moves into the basement and wall cavities. Sealing joints, adding dampers and rebalancing the registers often fixes the cold back bedroom without a bigger furnace.
We seal, balance, repair and extend ductwork. We do not offer duct cleaning: in most houses a good media filter and sealed ducts do more for the air than cleaning does, and we would rather say that than sell the service.
Humidity and filtration
Heated Ontario air in January is drier than a desert. A whole-home humidifier on the furnace brings it back to a healthy 35 to 45 percent, which protects wood floors and furniture and makes the house feel warmer at a lower setting. A deep-pleated media filter cabinet replaces the one-inch filter with one that lasts a year and catches far more, and it is checked at every annual tune-up.
